They make an upright grab bar to bolt on the frame to easier mount & dismount your machine. My cousin is 82 & has put one on his Hustler Flip up deck. Game changer according to him. One could fab up something similar as well.

Do you have a volt meter ? Yes test or have battery tested for resting voltage, & Load tested for Amps.. Auto parts stores can do this FREE if you don't have the tester. But if you do, check voltage, get it started & test voltage again, this should now read higher if Alt is putting out...

Cool, we call that "fish plating" the frame, on truck frames etc. Railroad uses same technique to join train track rails together.

On the workbench, you lay the trimmer head up against something, so it can't slide away. Lay grease gun next to it. Hold the hose end to the head hole, & other hand to give gun a pump.

Works fine, a friend took his edger head plug & matched up a grease fitting to install & leave..

Just remove the plug, butt yer grease gun end up to the hole & give it a pump. Mine is grease able, & I give it a shot 1 x a year. Residential use. Even my Dealer said to be sure & grease the head, that was over 10 years ago tho.. But still running like new,.. Any grade 2 grease should...

Question: My Scag Liberty, now 3 years old. & Last week mow, gas gauge read about 7/8 FULL of gas Before I mowed for 48 minutes, then cleaned & parked. After the mow, I checked gas gauge it is now reading FULL of gas. None has been added. & parked in same spot in garage.. Same temps etc...

I'm down in deep South so my Dealer recommends 20-50 semi K-Tech..

OK, Just FYI: Running with gas shut off, till it quits, will still leave a small amount of gas in carb bowl..

Remove fuel line after the fuel filter, Turn key on & see how the flow is. If that is fine, then carb may need a good cleaning.

Well, an inspection of the needle valve above the float would be good to see that it is clean. If you have gravity feed gas, put a can under carb with bowl off, allow gas to flow, gently push the float closed upward (carefully)....I say carefully cause the float level is set by that tab, &...

Loosen fuel cap when this happens & see it that fixes it.. Did it run well with vent valve removed ?

I'd try & determine for sure you has gas in your oil first. Is your oil lever ever fuller that is was ? I use my shut off on my mower. Had an old rider long ago & it hydro-locked from gas in the oil.

I've always did the Exhausts to .005 Just cause they get hotter.. But that's me.

Gas is probably passing thru the carb into the crankcase. Do you have a fuel line shut off valve ? If gas is getting into your crankcase, you need to fix the problem, Carb needle valve maybe. & then dump the oil, add cheap fresh oil run it a bit & drain it again, then add the regular oil...

Does the engine oil smell like gas ?
