    Cub 5252 fuel trouble...

I just looked at the service manual. I don't see a fuel pump of any style. This may be a gravity feed system. https://techcomm.rehlko.com/techcomm/pdf/24_690_06_EN.pdf

Looking for a good cross-reference chart for aftermarket blades

You can go to the websites of Rotary, Oregon, or Stens. Put in your Toro part number and get several aftermarket alternatives. The blades length, width, thickness, and center hole diameter are listed for each particular blade. Deck size will not always get you the correct blade. What is the...

Sponge in Stihl fs56 gas tank

Yeah, Echo has been a reliable and comfortable brand for me. I have an Echo commercial edger, an Echo commercial power pruner, and an old Poulan Pro (Husqvarna) chain saw. All have been really reliable and the ergonomics are good. The old Echo SRM225 was also like that. However, after 10 years...

I didn't say it was bad. I just flat out don't like it. There are better options out there and I made a mistake in buying it. I won't make that mistake again.

Sponge in Stihl fs56 gas tank

The balance is bad It's harder to start than the Echo. The choke knob is in a bad location and difficult to manipulate. The guard is a poor design. It burns more fuel than the Echo SRM225. There is no difference in power. The Echo SRM 225 is an all around better unit.

Are you sure the solenoid is the problem? Check the wiring. Make sure that the hot wire isn't broken or the connection to the wiring harness isn't broken. Is there current? Remove the solenoid and see if the plunger is moving freely. Sometimes some liquid wrench can free it up. It looks like the...

    2026 Toro 60" Havoc Timesaver

Another example of someone purchasing a mower from Lowe's. It really doesn't matter if it's Lowe's, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, or some other big box store. They might be assembled under contract or at the store, by store personnel. A PDI done by a competent person isn't guaranteed. If...

37 Hp Briggs Vangaurd Blew up

I agree with @Tiger Small Engine. Briggs and Stratton isn't going to warranty the engine so there isn't any need for the dealer to do a tear down.

37 Hp Briggs Vangaurd Blew up

Scag has gone to the 40hp Vanguard for the new Turf Tigers. Kawasaki has the FD series water cooled engine. Kohler (Rehlko) has the 38hp Command Pro EFI.

37 Hp Briggs Vangaurd Blew up

It would certainly have to be rewired. I would think that Scag uses the same mounting pattern on each Turf Tiger 2 from that year.

Rehlko (Kohler) and Kawasaki are the other engine options. See if the dealer can get a better deal on either of those and is willing to rewire it.

Toro Timecutter 75742 engine stopped in the middle of mowing. Won't start again

I'm not a big fan of aftermarket fuel pumps. You might get one that works or you may not. Replace the fuel lines and filter. Use this fuel filter and install with the arrow pointing towards the carburetor.

True. Cars these days are running lower viscosity oil to achieve federally mandatory fuel mileage requirements. Also, air cooled automobiles are a thing of the past. My 22KW air cooled generator specifies 5W30 synthetic oil. I run a 0W40 or 5W40 European oil in it. That allows for easy cranking...

It's 108F in the full sun, here in my part of Georgia. I personally won't use anything less than 10W40. 15W50 and 20W50 is also acceptable. My 2025 Polaris Ranger 570 specifies 5W50 and it's water cooled. It currently has Lucas 5W50 Side by Side oil in the sump. The Lucas oil meets Polaris...

JD, Cub Cadet, Husqvarna, and Toro are very popular in the residential riding mower market. In may area, I would say JD is #1 in the traditional residential rider market, followed by Husqvarna and Cub Cadet. They are readily available at Lowe's, Home, and Tractor Supply. JD also has a many...

Using a stepped blade in a timecutter that uses a arched blade?

Evidently, your particular Toro only offers one type of blade for that mower. Dimensions: 19.25" Long with a 5/8" center hole Toro: 88-5140-03 Rotary: 6184 Stens: 345-165 That's the sorts of things that are common with odd ball sized mower decks.

It depends on the brand and type oil that you are buying. If it's standard automotive oil, the phosphorus and zinc is going to be below 1,000ppm. Newer oils are API SP and SQ rated and have lower phosphorus and zinc levels. Valvoline VR1 is loaded with the good stuff. Triax Power Four Stroke is...

Any quality 20W50 oil will work in the Hydro -Gear 3100. Hydro-Gear doesn't specify what brand they use at the factory. They do say that any 20W50 will work.
