    Tecumseh Broke Rod

I’ve probably been working on Tecumseh engines longer than you’ve been around, I might know a little bit about how they run. Your project probably cost you close to $50 when you add up all the incidentals. Are you telling me that 3mm piece of sheet metal can be used to replace a .25” aluminum...

    Briggs 31R headache...

Have you tried recutting the valves and seats, or at least relapping the valves. When doing so I would also running a valve guide reamer through both guides to make sure they are both in specs.

    Tecumseh Broke Rod

Is this thread an old episode of RED GREEN that I missed. If so I haven’t seen any mention of duck tape. Can someone please post where I can review this video. OP must have more time and money to even thinking about patching a block with sheet metal. Thank you for brightening my morning each...

Is it better to run out of gas periodically vs topping off the tank before each use?

If you know that you are using good fuel I wouldn’t worry about it. This is probably a personal preference and there will be people on both sides of this debate. If you are sure you have good fuel is more important to me.

what missing from the carburetor choke

Toro numbers don’t wear off, they are located on an ID tag under the grass rear chute cover or on the back of the deck. Engine numbers are probably on the metal shield over the muffler. You need to look a little harder, they are there.

Toro 21311 Rear Wheel Cut Height Adjuster

I doubt it was your operator error on your part. Height adjusters on those mowers are setup at the factory. Take unit back to Ace, if they are an authorized repair dealer, of a Toro authorized dealer for warranty repair. Hope Ace or you did the warranty paper work so you are covered. AS THIS...

BadBoy Maverick HD Starts and Runs Fine Then Engine Surges

And if it is not something simple and you tackle it yourself, you could void the warranty if the dealer finds out you tampered with the unit. Phone call to the dealer might be a better place to start. Could be even more expensive.

BadBoy Maverick HD Starts and Runs Fine Then Engine Surges

If the unit is still under warranty, I would take a to the dealer where you purchased it. Kohler EFI engine can be touchy and voiding warranty can be expensive. Read my signature

Know What Really Grinds My Gears?

You need to replace both the gear and wheel. I’ve seen this many times and being over 10 years old I suspect wear was caused by lack of maintenance, dirt buildup. Wheel bolt should also be checked, they wear also.

    John Deere RV43RVE part question

First, I think your model number is incorrect, could it be R43RVE. Second, are you outside the US, I ask this because I’m not find your unit in US distributors? Third, where on the unit is the part attached? Unless I can understand your unit better, I can’t be of much help. Sorry about that.

New coil no fire. almost new pressure washer.

Depending on the serial number your engine could use three different coils. RER mowing deck interchangeability NE FL??

Now I’m confused, as both those numbers come up as 28” models. One model has both a 28” deck available and a 30” deck available. To me it may be possible. Vertex 60" destroys deck belt and tension bracket out of align.

Has anyone checked to see if the deck is sprung from hitting something. Might have happened when someone hit something and people started throwing parts at it. Doesn’t sound like people are checking for all possible causes, just assuming they know the problem without checking.

Check battery voltage while turning the key to the start position. If battery voltage drops below 10 VDC the battery is shot and needs replacement. Wouldn’t be the first time the battery reads good, but drops under load.

How to Tell when Deck Spindle is Going Bad?

If you feel it is rough when spinning by hand, go to dealer now. Be proactive and do not wait. Let them grease it if that’s what it needs. You will also have a record if something happens down the line. That’s why you have a warranty.
