    Help identifying a part please

Thanks again, Berts...Good to know. I have not washed that deck since 2012! A good dusting and a scrape out twice a month was all it needed. Now I have a new hobby, finding what piece of equipment is missing that part! I used to cut the hayfield with a brush hog, but that was 2 years ago and...

    Help identifying a part please

Hi Sg....the only part missing is the upper bearing for the spindle. I assume it exploded and caused this mess. The nut was lying nicely alongside the shaft.

    Help identifying a part please

Thank you, Bertsmobile! I am taking your post and running with it! No, no kids. A person has to be an adult to have kids and I have no desire to ever grow up. The only other piece of machinery running amok over there was a JD Gator. Oh boy..... I better go look at her! That mower...

    Help identifying a part please

I mowed about 8 feet. Then it sounded funny. It stopped mowing. I turned around and I saw the blade assembly laying on the lawn. Upon closer inspection, the nut was very near by it. Then I found this pulley thing on top of the deck. Now I am second guessing myself. I found 2 pulleys. I...

    Help identifying a part please

I have been poring over the schematics to no avail. This mystery part does not seem to be part of the deck. The only thing that looks remotely like it is something called an "engine pulley" on the engine plate diagram #12. I have included below the schem for the engine plate and the one from...

    Help identifying a part please

You are so right, I failed to notice. Here is a better picture of it and one of the interior. Hmmm. Maybe I can just keep it out of the mix? It looks like it is related to the spindle somehow.

    Help identifying a part please

Hello everyone, I was mowing along and these parts dropped onto the lawn. I have removed the spindle assembly and know I need to order a new housing assembly and a new mandrel pulley. I looked at the clutch and it seems to be solid and in place. Here is my question please. What is this rusty...

    Husqvarna EZ4824 No start

Thank you both! How can I check the voltage at full throttle if I am off of the seat? How do I bypass that seat switch?? Just unplug it?? I am heading to the barn to follow your directions today! I appreciate your help. Ok, I checked voltage at full throttle and got 14.10V. The PTO...

    Husqvarna EZ4824 No start

Thank you, Telesis! I performed all of your instructions and determined that the solenoid was defective. I spent the 12.00 and got a new one. I installed it after much wire brushing of the battery cable. I dielectric greased what needed to be. I reassembled it all and it started!!!! Yippee...

    Husqvarna EZ4824 No start

Yes. Checked for voltage in the start position. If key not turned all the way to start and held, no voltage will get to starter. I am learning! I am heading down to the barn now to test the starter and the solenoid. I checked with local tractor and they have one in stock for 11.00. If the...

    Husqvarna EZ4824 No start

Good Morning, Scrubcadet10. There is no power at the starter post of the solenoid or at the starter whatsoever. I have 12.46V showing at the battery. I now disconnected the battery altogether to remove the solenoid safely. Keep in mind, I am clueless. I have removed the solenoid and will...

    Husqvarna EZ4824 No start

Hi Scrubcadet10, I have a Klein multimeter. But I did use a test light for these solenoid diagnostics. To my recollection, there is power at the post that the battery hooks to on the solenoid, naturally. There is no power to the post that the starter hooks to, never. With the key in the...

    Husqvarna EZ4824 No start

Good Evening, I am a newbie to electrical diagnostics so please bear with me. This mower has 12.6V on battery. I have continutity checked the ign switch, brake switch, left and right lever switches, and seat switch. The starter solenoid is confusing to me. I have hot from batter ok. There...
