Went out this morning and started fooling around with the fuse on the control panel. Had my hand on the ignition switch and when I bumped the blade engage toggle, Eureka! it cranked over like it should. I guess it has some kind of short, but as long as it turns over and runs I don't care.

If it's not kicking in at all your "new" switch may be the fault. Regardless of the condition of your idler, the motor should still rotate the belt even with its dragging on a pulley.

Looking for the on off valve assembly for the gas tank. Mine is leaking around where it fits into the gas tank hole. tia

Slit the hose over the filters nipple. Pull off. And if you have enough slack left reinstall new filter. If not get new hoses.

Have a 48" snapper. Plugs real easy and so mowing is done mid afternoon, except for the 361 dixon. I've sunk the blade in mud (ditches), mowed in standing water. Morning dew is nothing. The snapper? Gotta be just about perfect conditions.

Yeah I've some small self tappers with hex head and captive washer. I think I've had it out before when I put a new kit in it. Seems like it then had a small "o" ring instead of the 61323.

The 'seat' in the Briggs and Stratton is solid with a hole in it. I believe I can get it out ok. Just wanted to see what others would do.

So a leaking carb needle/seat overflows the bowl allowing gas into the air inlet, through the breather tube into the crankcase. Is that the situation?

Just got it back from the mechanic. Supposedly went through the carb and cleaned out the gas tank and lines. It was running rough and wouldn't run at all with the deck turned on. It runs fine now and I put the original carb, after cleaning, back on. Mechanic said the new one was for a newer...

Put a new carb kit in a few years ago. Just got it back from the shop where I'm sure they didn't shut off the fuel for the month it sat there. They supposedly cleaned the carb and gas tank. It had started losing power after about 1/2 hour of cutting. Bought a cheapy 20$ carb and put it on...

Have a b&s 12 hp on an old dixon...1990. Occasionally gas will get into the oil in the crankcase. Shutting off the gas from the tank when not in use helps. What causes this? tia
