Does anyone else have a two-stroke Lawn Boy?

And they did make magnesium decks. They are even lighter than the aluminum decks and just as durable. I don't know why they stopped making them !

Magnesium is 3 times the price of aluminium, good enough reason ?
It also costs 3 times as much to machine as it has a nasty habit of catching fire which can only be put out by smothering with sand or lead oxide.
And yes it burns under water, Those underwater flares you used to see being used in every second programme of SEA HUNT ( shows my age ) were magnesium.
White distress flares used to be magnesium as well.

My model 7266 Lawn Boy is about 30 years old and the motor is still in excellent shape. It's very light and powerful.

If you have a two-stroke Lawn Boy please post photos.

Hey Quaker, I now have 2 LBS; a 1989 L21ZSNA and, yesterday a friend gave me a 1969 5238. Both run like a clock! No pix as yet.

Does anyone know where I can get "Bermuda Sand" color paint for the 5238?

Parkboy

I have yet to collect this as yet unidentified Lawnboy but I am thinking it could be a 2 stroke?
