John Deere Owner Check-In --- Read This First!

Hi all,
New to the forum and new to lawn tractors. We just got a D130 and started it up for the first time today. Still trying to figure things out from the manual and hopefully we can get some help here, as we need all the help we can get.

Hi, I have a 1983 John Deere 318 with 1530 hours and running strong.1983 318.jpg

I also have a 1986 John Deere 318 with a 44 loader which I added brush forks to. IM003670.JPG
 
1994 JD 320 with 18hp Kaw liquid cooled. it just clicked over 991 hours yesterday while mowing for the first time in 2016. i have tried unsuccessfully to add a photo.
 
Just purchased a JD D130 to replace a 10 year old Cub Cadet. That replaced an older JD lawn tractor that lasted 20 years. Unfortunatly there were no JD sales places near me when I got stuck with the Cub Cadet.

Just joined found and joined this forum. I have a couple of mowers, one of course being a JD 345.

new mwmber and new owner of a LA 165

hello JD people!! I am Chaz and live in NE Pennsylvania..
I just bought a 2008 LA 165. good looking and running machine..The problem I am looking at is the steering..Seems like the pinion and gear plate are not meshing when in a tough turn.. I think the bushing is bad..and was just wondering if yall had this problem? Looks like an easy fix..How did you JD owners fix this
