Let's put the past behind us and get on with what is important. Mowing the grass and having fun doing it.

The past is vitally important. To make it taboo because it's sticky and unclearly motivated only dooms us to repeat it.

Besides, this isn't with the lawnmower stuff. It's in an OFF off-topic thread in an off-topic forum....

You don't HAVE to read it, ya know.

All the best ones are!

That was tasteless.

I deleted my tasteless post. I am not homeschooled - so what am I? A piece of poop?

This 'homeschool pride' garbage goes a tad too far sometimes, and I get sick of hearing it............but, I am going to stop now, or I'll go on a real tyrade. I don't wanna do that, so I won't.

Oh get off your high horse. It was a joke. Why do you make yourself out the "sarcasm king" when you take everything so seriously?

I take things in context..........and OTHER contexts, as well. (like people who won't have their kids in a public school because they don't spend half their day on their knees in prayer....awwww, nevermind)

I never said a word about being a king.....I just said I am sarcastic.....likes repel. You did teach that, right?

sar·casm [ sr kàzzəm ]
cutting language: remarks that mean the opposite of what they seem to say and are intended to mock or deride

(from encarta - I'm sure that dictionary isn't sufficient.....)

Hey, I'm homeschooled too!!!

So, please inform us...for those who are homeschooled, what is the proper term for assignments given to be completed OUTSIDE OF CLASS? For obvious reasons, such cannot be "HOMEWORK", correct?

Yeah, I am almost never on LMF, or TBN, or even online, for that matter. This time of year is always the busiest for me outdoors.

Wait. Are you mocking me, or are you deriding me? Or simply being facetious? Dang it, I can never tell the difference.

There is no "outside of class", for our children seek to learn every minute of every day. When we're not teaching them, they are out in the yard looking under rocks to find things to learn, gathering wild mushrooms to make soup for the homeless, and propagating new drought-resistant plants for third-world countries. They find lessons in everything. My kids learned everything about the respiratory system just by watching the neighbor kid (public school:rolleyes:) pick his nose.

There are no walls! The world is our classroom. Our children learn even as they sleep - smarter when they open their eyes in the morning than they were when they closed them the night before. And better looking too.

Great response....I learned what I am doing wrong in life...I get dumber and uglier overnight....:laughing:
