Here are some of mine. The John Deere is a 2006 X520 with 312.5 hour as of the picture.

Here is the evil twins 1974 and 1977 MTD 990 super garden tractors.

And last and not least my 1978 Sears GT/11.

I like the evil twins! I've got a couple of those myself, although mine are only 12 years old. Finally got them onto the tractor and had them working all day! They were so happy to get a chance to drive the tractor that they didn't complain once about all the work

That's the plan. Want to get the 1974 MTD 990 back in workable condition first.

I was only one year old when that was new......

I'm a 1973 model.....

Yes those two are evil. I have scars from both of them. I can't wait to get one of them running again so I have something to drive around the yard with.

Twall so you are saying that you are almost ancient.:laughing:Well you are doing better than the tractor, the tractor does not run and you are still kicking.

Those evil twins make me wish I had time to restore something like that! With seven grandkids into everything from Tball to lacrosse and Taekwondo to track most of my time is spent in the grandstands. Did a 9N about 15 years ago and enjoyed that. Now mostly admire the work others do at tractor shows. Love to see yours when they are finished.

The 1974 (one on left) is a very nice original machine so I will keep it the way it is. The 1977 will get restored in the next yr or so.

She's a little dirty and will get a new paint job after the mowing season is done. She cuts perfect and can hold her own plowing the small amounts of snow that we occasionally get here in Washington.

Bobrien,

Even though the purists may tell you that "isn't a real JD" (probably because it's not a $45,000, collectable, state-of-the-art, at least 5000 series, zero turn, CUT, blah, blah, blah), I happen to think it's cool. It's rare to see one that small with the headlight option. Most were opted out. (not to mention the hydro)
