Hi, new to the forum and I have a Hustler Mini Z 50" cut with a Kawasaki 23HP engine. Lately I have been having a problem starting it. I have checked for spark and do not have any. I cleaned the magneto and coils but nothing. Recently, I think someone attempted to steal my mower as the key hole was all reamed out like with a screwdriver. I have started it several times after that but I was wondering if it was possible that my key would crank the engine but not allow it to start. The safety switches seem fine also. What do you think???

Just upgraded from a GT5000 to a Hustler Raptor SD 54" and I could not be happier. I borrowed my neighbors (exact same mower) when my Craftsman went down and that was all it took. Looking forward to spending less time mowing!

Yesterday I went out and purchased a new Hustler X-One with 48" deck. Slightly larger than I need but it was a sale model and a good deal. Gets delivered tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out.

Hello,

I just purchase a new 54" RSD, I test mowed little bit to find all the things wrong with my new mower that most are talking about in these threads. I have a newer mower so I hope the recall items were taken care of at factory. I will try to fix with adjustments, it is to far to dealer.

Hi,
I just joined Lawn World a few moments ago. I have two Jacobsen reel mowers. One is a 1963 Lawn Queen 21 with rear discharge. The other is a 1964 Manor 21 with front discharge. I have had both of these mowers for well over 20 years. Both run and cut well. The Manor 21 is missing the catch basket. The previous owner used it to shield his Barbeque grill on a windy day and a gust blew it into the fire. Sadly, he threw the frame away. I would love to have that basket. I don't use them to cut my lawn anymore as we keep out grass at a higher level than they can cut well.

I have been given an older Hustler Fastrak with the Honda gxv530 engine. I cannot get any spark to either plug. I have disconnected the kill circuit, changed plugs, cleaned the flywheel and arms of the ignition coils, and still not fire. I can't believe both coils are bad. This unit has been sitting in storage for some time (don't know how long), It was covered but not too good. Had water in the carburator and cylinders but will turn over good. Where do I look from here?

Hi,
Washington State west of Seattle about 40 miles rural area.
Unusual weather were having ain't it! Bought a 2013 Hustler Fastrak last month on a red tag deal for $4,999 54 in deck, Kawasaki 23 hp. 4 year warranty , plus a Mojack Pro for lifting the front end from Amazon pretty good price there to pick up one of those. Mowed twice this year in Feb. with it usually don't need to mow until March. I have like a 1-2 percent grade on 1.2 acres so I didn't need a Super duty, mower handles great its as fast as you need to go on the wide open areas and as slow and agile around tress islands or shrubs as needed the blade tip speed of 18,900 sounds impressive when its wound up, so far I'm liking this mower a lot .

Sounds like you need to check the coil air gaps, or maybe you have bad flywheel magnets. Disconnect the mower wiring harness in case you have an issue there that's killing the coils.

Great mower, it will look after you for a long time. Congrats on a great deal!
