I'm looking at the following mowers and having a hard time choosing one. I cut 4 Yards that are each less then an acre. i looking for something that give a great cut. these are in no order

what do you think? or do you have something else i need to look at

2013 Kubota ZG127E with 37hrs has the Briggs eng. still comes with warranty 5/2017. $3900 still looks new no tax

New 2014 Bad boy MZ Magnum Koh eng. $3500 plus tax

New 2014 Bad Boy ZT Elite Koh eng. $4500 just seems big plus tax has a Lift & Height Adjustment Electrical Actuator does not have a deck raise pedal

2011 Exmark Pioneer with Kaw eng. 70hr Warranty till july 2015 $3500 still looks new no tax

NEW 2014 JD Z425 $3500 plus tax

thanks

You don't say what deck sizes these are to see if they are "good deals" at those prices. If that Pioneer is the S Series that would be my 1st choice followed by the Kubota. I wouldn't go with anything underneath the Outlaw in the Bad Boy lineup and IMHO the JD's are way overpriced(green paint must just cost more:0)
If $4k is your budget limit any of these would be OK. For $5k you could get into a brand new 48" Gravely HD with a 1 Year Commercial Warranty. For cutting 4 yards/week I don't think the BB's would hold up and I don't know that I'd invest in a used but the dealer(s) seem to be giving a decent Warranty with the Kubota(can't beat a new Warranty) and the Exmark(1 Year).

I agree that the pioneer would be rated just above the kubota except that the kubota is newer and comes with a better warranty. If those are your choices and you are not going to look at anything else then I agree with the earlier post except I would rate the kubota one and the pioneer two. If the pioneer was a 2013 it would rank one. I think you should at least find out what brands your local dealers offer. Most offer zero percent interest for 48 months. There are many brands that offer new commercial mowers in the 5000 to 6000 range. The snapper pro s125xt is offered in the 5000 range.

The 2011 exmark is a next door neighbor of my parents. the man that live there pass away. so his wife is having someone cut the grass. She was asking 4000 but said she take 3500 she has the receipt when it was purchase

Exmark is a 48 welded deck

Kubota is a 54 deck

Both Mowers are in excellent shape.

If the pioneer is the s series, it becomes my first choice. If it is an e series, it becomes my second choice. 3500 is a great price for s series with 70 hours. Would she let you take into a dealer to look it over as part of the deal before you make your decision?

It has already been to the service department back in May for basic oil chg new belt and blade sharpen. on the bill it has that they did a 17 point check and everything was good. It is an e -series

I was thinking of going with the Kubota just because of the warranty 5/2017.

Since it is an e series pioneer (though a good mower at a good price) it would be a small step down from the pioneer s and i would likely go with the kubota as well if it is between the two, though i am not a fan of the briggs engine of late. Much rather have a kohler or kaw IMO. I would also take another good look around at some offers on semi commercial/entry commercials new that are close to your pricepoint as mentioned by shughes and djdicetn in the previous post. I went new because i wanted full warrenty, i wanted to know the dealer who sold me the mower and will be taking care of it from the beginning, and i wanted to know how the mower was used from day one. Let us know what you decide. Curious when it comes to the used verses new decisions.

Yep, I didn't even consider used when I bought my first ZTR.....(1)Warranty, (2)spending "thousands" of dollars on equipment technology that is new to me, (3)no worry about how previous owner used/cared for equipment before I got it, etc. Of the three, as pointed out, the Kubota fills the first and second concern, but I'd still be a little bit concerned over my 3rd concern. I never bought a used car, figuring I was better off with a brand new vehicle and I kinda look at ZTR's the same way.

My feeling are only buy used if you know what to look at and you can do maintenance and repairs yourself.
