Seat switch working backwards

I just bought a 2004 toro timecutter with a broken engine. I replaced the engine and it is working fine other than the seat switch is backwards. The PTO will engage when I am not setting on the seat but as soon as I sit down it shuts the blades down. Thanks in advance

Page 46 wiring diagram, check it out. Carefully retrace your steps when you replaced engine and reconnected all wiring. You have a couple wires that need to be switched.

I took a look at the wiring dia. maybe I just can't make sense of it but I still don't see how it could work in reverse? PTO engages while switch is open and shuts down when it is closed

I know this is not your manual, it is full of information, same principle. Click on Full Manual right side and start at page 147.
