I picked up a 60" Raptor SD yesterday, just waiting on the front forks. Anyway, important to note for me is that this seat is only on the 60" Raptor SD, the other models have the original Raptor seat with the addition of arm rests. The seat is very comfortable. Also, the engine guard is only standard on the 60".

Originally I was looking at a 54" but with these two differences I was pushed toward the 60" and the dealer agreed to nearly the same money. Here are some pics! Looking forward to getting it out of the garage when the grass greens up! I have a couple of acres with a slight slope, nothing too troubling.

Hello:

Have a Hustler Super Z 52", ExMark 46" a Toro 22" an old Bobcat 36" walk behind I use as my bush hog, cuts through anything, Stihl FS 80 and FS weed eaters, KD multi tool, and edger and 2 blowers. Do about 65 lawns a month in busy season, and 41 yearly contracted.
Hoping to grow this summer as I finally have a relaible employee that isn't my age, 48, and doesn't mind working/walking all day!! :)

Been in business since 2005 as a friend hired me on, and decided to start my own in 2007. Never going to get rich financially doing this but have built some strong relationships with a lot of my customers I wouldn't trade for anything as well as had the oportunity to watch just about all of my 2 kids events the last 7 years!

GREETINGS to all Hustler mower owners!

If you're new to the forum, please reply to this thread and introduce yourself and your mower (that is, if your mower have a name). Maybe attach a photo or two of your mower and show off your pride and joy.

Also, if you haven't done so already, you can upload a user avatar (picture under your user name). You can do so by clicking on settings and "edit avatar" or just click here.

Please be helpful and friendly to all other Hustler owners (how could you not, right?) and if you like this forum, tell your friends about it.

We want to make this the best resource for Hustler mower owners, and to do that we need your help! Questions? Experiences? Stories? Data? Photos? Articles? Links? Cool Hustler stuff? Post it here!

Last but not least, please let me know if you have any suggestions for the site. We'd love to hear them.

I am a newbie here, I have 2 acres and live in New Jersey. Started looking for a Zero @ 2 years ago, and purchased a Hustler Fast Trac with a 48 inch deck and the Honda 20 hp twin. What sold me on the machine was the 4 year warranty they offered for a residential user. It is now 2 years old with 30 hours on it, and I wouldn't trade it for any other Zero. Half of my property is field and I have a 6 foot finish cut deck for my New Holland Diesel Tractor that I use to cut that with, keeps the hours down on the Zero.

Hello all,

I have recently purchased a Raptor SD as my first ZTR mower. I can't hardly wait for the grass to get tall enough to mow again.

Would the Hustler Raptor SD be a good choice for a small time mowing business (8-10 accounts)? I am on a $4k+/- budget and have to shell out another grand for the fastrak.

Hello everyone. After looking at several ZT mowers the last month I settled on 2 to look at today. The Gravely ZT HD 48" deck and a Hustler Raptor HD 48" deck. The price for the Gravely was $5099.00 plus tax and the Hustler was $3799.00 plus tax. I think that the Gravely was the better machine by a little bit. Has the 3100 trans versus the 2800 on the XD. Deck is 10 gauge on the Gravely and 11 gauge on the Hustler. Same Kawasaki engine powers them both. After riding them both I decided for the amount of grass the machine will cut ( about 6 acres a week ) that the Hustler would work just as well, so I got the 0 % financing for 48 months, which I plan on paying off within the year and I am satisfied. I will post pictures of Big Yellow as soon as I get it home. They have to replace the recalled bolts before I can pick it up. I did have to get the rear engine guard for an extra $70.00
Thanks to everyone for posting here. That helped me make my decision to buy what I believe will be a machine that will last us many years with proper maintenance.

Nice deal. Did the dealer say if there was a back order on the Raptor SD? I am waiting to hear back from the dealer here in Maine. He has to order it. On another thread someone mentioned there was a 3 week back order.

I bought the last SD from him. He told me he has to order 3 of each model the 60", 52". And the 48" to get special dealer incentives offered by Hustler. He is ordering them now and told me he is selling them very well, better than expected considering the price. I told him I was a bit concerned with the 2800 drives but he assured me that with the amount of grass my son will be cutting there would be no problem and that were a serviceable instead of being sealed. He has the best prices by far on hustler and toro products in the Raleigh NC area. If you like you can look up " Right of Way Equipment Company located at 5500 Hillsborough St in Raleigh NC. Talk to David even if you are located somewhere else. He has been in this business for many many years and is a great guy as far as trying to answer any questions one has about these mowers. I will post pictures as soon as it arrives. All in all I am happy. If my son wants a Gravely he will have to buy it. God Bless!
