most powerful handheld?

I realized the other day that I never leave without my leaf blower... It's old but works. Next year I am thinking about buying a higher power hand held I don't want a backpack that's to big and unnecessary for what I do. I think a handheld with a vac attachment might come in handy once in a while I'm not sure what I am looking into I'm only looking at echo and stihl because of local dealers are close.

Also does anyone use the shredded vacs professionally for tight areas or small jobs? Is it convienent I realize I won't be vacumning whole yards but think that the feature could come in handy some times

By Specs alone the stihl is a much better machine and so far has my favor here is my question then, If i buy the stihl is it the same mix as my echo equipment i would rather not carry 3 gas cans.

Stihl say 50:1 and yeah the Stihl specs look a lot better. I watched a youtube vid of the Stihl in action as a vac/shredder. It wasn't impressive but youtube review vids are almost always useless.

Just keep in mind, with the Echo, that the 255 blower is quite, with a noise level of 65db. But if you were to get the 255 vac, though it's the same blower, it would be multiple times louder because some parts are different.

I have a old pb2100 that's on its last leg which is much less powerful than both the above machines and much more loud. I don't care about noise or weight just power and productivity I wear ear protection and I'm strong

Echo ES-250 :thumbsup: I dont buy anything but Echo not that stihl is bad I just never had any luck with them.

Well if you're going by the Stihl specifications it would be the SH 86 C-E Specifications and the Stihl is by far the better blower. It does have a larger displacement engine and the best air velocity and volume of 190 mph with the flat nozzle. The difference in the sound pressure rating between the two is only 5db so that's basically irrelevant. It will also run the 50 to 1 mixture and it will also run the ECHO Oil so you don't have to worry about changing brands.

Ya I'm pretty convinced about the stihl a friend of mine uses a huksy ill get the specs later just to compare

5db is more than you think, since it increases multiple times per decibel. But if you wear hearing protection you'll be fine. I choose Echo not because I have anything against Stihl, but because I have had great luck with Echo.

I to love echo but I need the most powerful blower vac I can get because I have no intention of buying a backpack so if echo just can't produce the same as stihl its about time for me to give it a try
