Well I replaced the intake gasket. Did not work, Then I remembered what you said about the exhaust port under the muffler. It was so clogged with carbon that you could hardly see the piston. Worked like a charm. Thanks to all. You learn something every day, even at my age.

It's not mine, but the owner likes Echo. He swears by them. This is his second trimmer, and he owns 2 chainsaws.
