Hello. I have a Cub Cadet ZT1 and the right side transmission will not engage. When I parked the mower in January, everything worked and sounded fine. I went to mow just now and the right side will not engage. It sounds like it is engaging, but it will not move. I checked to see if the release handle was pulled out and it was not. Help. The mower is two years old with 13 hours.
I would make sure that the parking brake is releasing on that drive. Sometimes while setting they will stick and not release. Pull the bypass release the brakes and see if it will roll. No roll stuck brake.
Checked the parking brake release and it rolls fine, both directions. Now, the mower will go forward without any issues, it's when I try to move in reverse. The mower will whine pretty loud and the move I pull back, the louder it gets. If I pull all the way back, the transmission will slam into reverse and almost do a burnout. BUT, it doesn't do this every time. Every now and then reverse will engage with no problems. It seems more prevalent on the right side. Maybe the fluid is low? No clue how to check that.... The mower has 13 hours on it. Any ideas?
