I have P-ZT 48 with a BS 25hp motor. I'm having starting problems. When I go to start it most of the time it will not start but click. After a few times it will finally turn over. I have replaced the battery with a brand new one. Still same problem. I have also jump the starter solenoid. When I do that it will start every time. Check all the wiring. anyone else got and suggestions?
Jump or bridge the terminals on the top ?
Next does the solenoid have 1 or 2 small wires at the base ?
Finally get a set of jumper leads
Run one from battery + to the battery side cable on the solenoid.
Turn the key

I have one big hot wire and one small wire on the solenoid. When I jump them he will crank every time. You say run a hot wire from the + on the battery to the small terminal on the solenoid and then turn key? I had a set of jumper cables and I put one on the positive side of battery and when to the battery connection on solenoid and still would not work. That should have worked with battery cables right?
