Z425 engine carb problems

Getting fuel all the way up to the carb but engine won't run unless gas is gently poured into carb and when you stop pouring it goes dead....what might be the solution.....I can pull the carb off if it needs to be....is there some things I might try at home to get it going before taking it for rebuilding. Thanks

Forgot to put this is a 22hp v twin engine on a zero turn mower

Does the fuel solenoid on the carb click when you turn the key on and off.

Got carb cleaned at repair shop and kit put in but and now it runs like its supposed to but if I let it set overnight...you have to prime it with a little gas and then it runs fine....what up with this.

Check that the choke comes on when you have the throttle in the start position.

Carb problem was solved .....I think at least for now
