Z335E mower sluggish going up grade

Hello, I am new John Deere owner. The mower I have is the Z335E and it has 10 hours on it when I bought it.

However, I am having a performance issue with it. When I am going up a grade, the mower gets sluggish almost to the point of stalling.

Is this a typical issue with this model or does it need service? Thank you.

Yes it needs a service.
Using some of the money you saved by buying used, ge a copy of the JD technical manual and follow the test proceedures.
The JD manual is worth way more than it costs & will save you more than you pay for it the first time you use it.

Digital download from the JD web site.
If you did not get the mower owners manual, you can view it from the same place.
For some strange reason you can view the entire document but only print off sections however it is the most comprehensive owners manual available.
They can both be bought as hard copy but that is very expensive.
