Yardman tecumseh 17.5 hp overhead cam xl/c enduro won't start

Hi,
The tractor will not start and investigating blogs after a new gas filter, new spark plug ,30 gap, and verifying all the gas hoses are working and the mower does start if I spray starter fluid down the carburetor or when I spray it into the spark plug hole the mower will stay running until the fluid is used up.
I'm thinking that the carburetor needs to be taken off and cleaned but I need to see a you tube on how to disassemble only what I need to take off from the tractor. (This is my next step).
I'm also thinking that there might be another hose that is missing but can't tell until I see a video of the carburetor with all it's parts.
I know I need to get the manual too to verify these parts and if anyone has any ideas or knows what my problem is please reply...thanks

sounds like a carburetor problem. needle valve hanging closed. get yourself a carburetor repair kit and a can of carburetor cleaner. Its a good idea to take some pictures of the linkage before removing the carb.
