My mower started breaking the 3.5 inch idler bolts about a month ago. I replaced it twice, the last one is a hardened bolt and has not broken since. Now it has started braking mower belts. I have replaced the mower belt, the 94.5 inch one, twice. I can mow for about an hour and then it shreds it. I cant figure whats putting it in a bind. Any thoughts?

Did you replace with OEM belts?

1) Must use kevlar belts
2) check all pulleys and in particular the blade spindles
3) check that the tension arm is free to swing and in particulr is not bent so the pulleys are all in alignment
4) check that the brake blocks pull completely off the pulleys
5) check all pulleys for damage even a small nick will schred a belt in no time flat.
