I recently upgraded from an old Lawnflite to the above, ive had nothing but grief with it since due to it's sensitivity of wet grass. Ive spent too much time fisting the rear of my mower pulling out clumps of wet grass that get lodged in the chute near the blades, ive even bought a plastic spaghetti spoon to help me reach the clumps. Ok apart from 'dont mow wet grass' is there anything need to checkout here? Can i spray the underneath with non stick spray or is something amiss?

I am in the UK and we've had a dry spell but even last summer the slightest hint of damp grass, i get squealing drive belts, i have to stop the mower and pull out clumps of grass. It makes mowing the lawn a pain the ass i never had with the lawnflite mower. Help!

Short answer is no
If there is a low lift ( sometimes called a sand ) blade then fit it.
Once upon a time mower shops asked questions to determine which particular mower will suit you the best .
You problem is you have just bought the wrong mower .

Appears to be using a full time mulching deck. These requires you to keep you grass short and mow slower than other side discharge decks giving the deck time to grind up the grass clippings.

Sorry
There might be some different blades you could try
Other than that it will require you to alter your mowing regeime
Perhaps mow more often & try to avoid wet grass ( not much chance of that I know )

I don't think it is in mulching mode as when the grass is dry its happily chucking it into the rear grass collector. I think what i find annoying is my cheap old lawnflite sometimes the rear chute would block also but it happily carried on cutting and sort turned into mulch mode instead.
This POS just starts sqeauling the drive belts. And i have to put my arm right up the back passage (so to speak) to pull out clumbs of wet grass.

Ahhh, I see one those European center discharge decks. Never really seen how they work. Here it is either side discharge or mulch mode. Check make make sure you are using hi lift blades and not those 3n1 blades. You going need all the deck pressure you can get to blow in the collection box.
