I've had a Mantis for years, works nice for planting small gardens and other jobs like planting or digging holes for shrubs and such. I think the one I have is at the point I'm going to have to do some repair work.

Because of the equipment I already have, I would probably buy an Echo if I needed one (since I trust Echo), but the Mantis looks pretty good. So yes, I would buy it.

There sure isn't! And I looked at the specs and there is not that much of a difference there either other than the Echo weighing like 1.6 pounds more.

Now that's a strange statement coming from you, as big as you are on your Honda mowers.:confused3:

Haha yeah. To tell you the truth, I didn't even think of Honda, just Echo. Yeah I would consider a Honda also. I think I said Echo because I see it in the 2011 product brochure, I don't really look at the Honda tiller a lot. But Honda, Echo, or Mantis would be a possibility.

AH, I think you need to take a look at the Mantis again, there 9" and 16" are both powered by a 4 cycle 25cc & 35cc Honda engines that's why I questioned your answer about you wanting the Echo.

Yeah that's true. If you get pretty much business in your shop and if a lot of people have gardens in your area than they should sell.

No problem. And if you decide to do it you don't have to go "full-out" all at once. Just buy some at first and then if you have good results go from there. I'm guessing you can purchase as many as you want, and don't have to buy tons at first....I'm not familiar with becoming a dealer.

you have to buy 6 and no accessories and you dont have to carry any parts in stock as well just 6 units

Oh, OK. Yeah I would suggest just buying 6 and then seeing how it goes.
Good luck!

I've got mantis in my shop and gave done ok with them. The engine is identical to the echo unit. But get them in immediately if you are going to. They obviously sell early spring. They have one model that is a 4 cycle Honda engine with a wider tines. I would stay away from this unit, the pricepoint is too high. Stick with the little ones and sell them for around $325 and they will move. What part of the country are you in?
