That carb bowl wouldn't even make my top 10 list. Try working on a carb from a wisconsin that has had water setting in it for about 10 years. those old carbs were cast iron.
Forgot to post the pic
It definately is the worst I have seen the rest of the carb is not any different luckily I am not using that one I just needed the float the other one had gas in it.
How long had that thing been setting around and not in use?
Ethanol fuel at it's best the enemy of small engines. I don't use the crap. I get my fuel a the local marina it's Ethanol Free 50 more cents a gallon pays off in the long run.
Not sure I just got that mower for parts said it was just sitting in the shed they weren't sure about how long
I ask because and again not being a smart azz but why would this mowers demise or failure be blamed on Ethanol gas? It amazes me that our cars, trucks and all kinds of other equipment have been running on Ethanol gas for years and years without any major problems but yet every mishap or failure with a lawn mowers gets blamed on the Ethanol gas we use and yet every mower we buy is rated to use 10% ethanol.
