That carb bowl wouldn't even make my top 10 list. Try working on a carb from a wisconsin that has had water setting in it for about 10 years. those old carbs were cast iron.

Ethanol fuel at it's best the enemy of small engines. I don't use the crap. I get my fuel a the local marina it's Ethanol Free 50 more cents a gallon pays off in the long run.

I ask because and again not being a smart azz but why would this mowers demise or failure be blamed on Ethanol gas? It amazes me that our cars, trucks and all kinds of other equipment have been running on Ethanol gas for years and years without any major problems but yet every mishap or failure with a lawn mowers gets blamed on the Ethanol gas we use and yet every mower we buy is rated to use 10% ethanol.

Well I can see how ethanol can be blamed. But this carb is human error let's leave gas in a machine for months or years and whenever I feel like it I want to pull it out of the shed and it should run perfect. All comes down to proper maintenance
