I have a 2018 John Deere E 140.I started it yesterday mowed for a while.Shut it off.Came back out won't start.I turned the key on and jumped the seliniod,and it started. so is the seliniod gone or do I have a bad key switch?
Jump from the battery terminal on the solenoid to th e trigger terminal at the base of the solenoid.
Starter spins = solenoid is fine & you have a problem with a switch in the cranking circuit
