My John Deere L110 riding mower quit running while mowing. I have gas to the carburetor and cranks but will not start. I can pour gas into the carburetor and it will start but then stops.
If this just happened suddenly and without any other symptoms the look at the fuel shut off solenoid sitting at the bottom of the carb.
It is normally closed and opens to allow the mower to run.
When you turn the engine on it should click.
I cut them off down here, but I can do that without running foul of our EPA .
Some places ove there have massive fines for tampering with it.
Withut the solenoid the engine will backfire after it stops unless you throttle down to nothig for a miute before you turn off, so it is obvious it has been removed from 500 yards away.
