Was running rough,
Stripped carburetor and noticed diaphragm buggered.
Replaced with new diaphragm and cleaned carb and tank.
Now it won't start??

Make sure you have them in the correct order.

Was this an OEM part or Chinese ebay/amazon Gambler Series Special?

Diaphragm upside down? Diaphragm spring missing?

Did you over torque the carb mounts causing vacuum leaks?

Is the choke working?

Is there gas in the tank?

Are you pulling the rope hard/fast enough to generate spark?

Do you have spark?

Are you holding the dead-man lever in on the handlebar to make it run?

Is your spark plug good?

Is the spark plug boot connected?

Are the carb springs and linkages installed correctly?

Do you have compression?

Did you clean the carb and tank with water?

Valves adjusted properly?

Cylinder cooling fins CLEAN as well as top of engine block?

Air filter plugged up?

Too many questions to answer, I'd say yes to all

Have you tried giving it a little shot of starting fluid?

The primer bulb works, squirts fuel into inlet tube.
Today it fires up, starts to Hunt for around 10 seconds, then dies

Carb is dirty or diaphragm is faulty.

Check for vacuum leaks. Spray WD-40 all around carb to tank gasket area and around carb to engine mount. If the engine smooths out you've found your leak.

Seeing that you don’t supply us with the engine numbers I’m guessing here. Normally the diaphragm goes against the carb and the gasket against the tank. Saying yes to all questions tells me you want a fast solution and can’t take the time to provide us with a better picture of what is happening. We’re not psychic so without your help we have a hard time providing you with anything more than guesses.
