Recently bought brand new Husqvarna TS 142K with a Series 7000 Twin 725cc Kohler, it only has 8 hours on it. The book says to shut it off bring the throttle to half way, let it idle down before shutting it off, which I have . I t will continue to run for at least 30 seconds (pre ignition). It will also do the same thing if I bring the throttle all the way to slow position. I'm pretty sure at some point it will damage the engine, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it is over heating
Pull the spark plugs out take photo & post it
Chances are they will be white
I have had the same problem with a Toro Titan
Ended up drilling out the jets ( very Naughty of me )

Look at the key switch , it should ground ignition in the Off Position , it should also drop power from the little Kill Solenoid under the carb.
