I have a craftsman 12hp model # 917.254241 i have been working on . It has set up for about 5 years. It will not pull ,new belt , I can jack it up and every thing it is working, the big pully on rear axle is spining just fine. But even jacked up the rear tire tries to turn but if you put your hand on it . It just stops. Please help ,the grass is getting high and I don't what to cut with the push mower. Thanks David.

Take the pulley off and make sure that the key is in the grove. Can you push the mower with it in gear. When jacked up and in gear turn one wheel by hand engine off one wheel should go forward and the other back

I missed up, When i moved the mower I found the locking pin that goes in the slot on rear tire axle i guess when i put the new tires on the pin got push out.I got the pin put back and now i can't push in gear or neutral with tiers on the ground. I ran out of time today to start it and test it,but i will in the morning.
