Building a log splitter with an Intek 25 horse engine and need to know how to wire it. The original l engine was a a 13 horse but was worn out. I bought the 44t977 but didn’t realize it needed a battery connection for it to run my old set up I just used a jump pack to start it and choked it to shut it off. The new engine requires power to the carb to run . There is a wire harness on the engine with 3 wires to it I know 2 of the wires go to the carb but I can’t find any wiring diagram on line to show me how to wire in a starter switch and battery.I’m assuming I also need a starter solenoid.

The wiring the key switch depends which one you use and its make/break config.
And this diagram assumes a grounded starter solenoid.

As the fuel solenoid having two wires one is +12v and the other is ground. You should have magneto(coil) kill and DC out wires.

Please ask a local shop to show you what is what on your engine and for advice on how to wire it up. It is usually easier for them to do it for you.
