Why won't my blades engage on the l110 motor is running push lever up spring does move and expand ran fine last time I used it 2 to 3 days ago

So many things to check
1) belt in the proper position
2) check the lever UNDER the dash, it is held in place by a roll pin that tends to fall out over time
3) check the cable at both ends for damage
4) check the tension arm pivot, if you have not been lubing it as per the owners manual then the hole will be oval and the bush will have a big groove in it .
