I recently purchased a 2004 White Outdoors 2550. When I bought it I was told that it had just been serviced, carbs rebuilt, and a new battery. They said it needed a new ignition switch because it won't turn off. They had it on order and would give it to me when they got it. A week later I had the new switch and installed it. It didn't make a difference. When you turn the switch off and take the key out it continues to run. The rpm do drop slightly once the key is off. I have unplugged the wire harness that run to the engine and it continues to run. My thought was it was continuing to run off of fuel that the fuel shutoffs were allowing to pass. I took them apart and cleaned everything out but to no avail. The next thing I did was pull the plug wires while it continued to run. When I pull the first one the rpm drop a little lower. It shut down when I pulled the second wire but I'm not sure if it was a coincidence or not. Any help on what direction to head in would be great. Thanks
