Hello all,

I am frequently having to purchase expensive carb rebuild kits from MTD, Generac, Craftsman units with the China engines and the Huayi Carburetors just because the needle is leaking… Had anyone found a place and/or part numbers that I can get just the needle?
They all measure to be exactly the same, and have the spring on them…

One reason why Chinese junk is so cheap is there is no after sales service, no manuals, not IPS and no spare parts
All of this costs thousands so it does not get done
You can replace the carb with a regular Walbro or Nikki

Or a cheap Chinese aftermarket carburetor.

If you are referring the ones use on the 08P and 09P then MTD PN 793P00165A is a likely candidate. It also fits the MTD 1T65, 5T65670-JUB, 8X65, 5X70. 6X70,1P51,270-XU, 775-WU, ETC. So basically they are use on the MTD 140cc - 243cc engines.

The spring comes separate so it must be ordered too. PN 732P05251.

Do you normally replace the spring every time, or only when it goes flying?

Normally you don't have to but since they only cost me $3.50 for both from my distributor it doesn't hurt that much for a $0.42 spring.

Do you also have a part number for the bowl gasket?

That I don't have except for a couple gaskets for the smaller carbs. Sometime the Honda bowl gaskets fit.

Also you post the engine model I might still find the o-ring PN. I do have 7 MTD bowl gaskets crossed to engine models but got to have the engine info to check.
