I own a Cub Cadet ZTI 42E riding lawn mower.
I love the electric portion, I hate the zero turn. All in all a nice machine EXCEPT whenever something comes up on the little screen - an error code, it is IMPOSSIBLE to determine what's wrong! OK so I found the first one in the manual, but this code today is nowhere that I can find.
NO ONE picks up the phone at Cub Cadet service, there's no online list that *I* can find to tell me the problem. Do any of you know what it means when you get code FMR-5? Fatal machine error?
Stupid me bought at home depot. The local CC repair guy has never seen an electric mower :-(
From the very limited experience I have had with error codes on conventional mowers even the factory has no idea of what some of the error codes mean .
"The control chips are bought in and not specifically designed for the mowers so will occasionally show an error that has nothing to do with the mower"
Did not particularly fill me with confidence with the whole electronic engine management system.
