What's your favorite brand of mower and why. My is John Deere. My dad and grandfather have had them for years and they have always treated them good with no problems at all. They have been very reliable and the customer service they've received had been great. My mowers have been great, run great, mow great and over all have been great
mowers to own.
Well, you know,I like looking at JD's,never owned one.My dad owned one and honestly,I hated working on it.....engine compartment covers, deck belt covers....just didn't like it.Keep in mind I'm not saying that they aren't great mowers, and I do like looking at them.My fav's are the old one's...cubs.....case.I guess cause I'm old now...lol!!!!I guess favorites are the ones that run...lol.jc:laughing:
I think there is a number of older models that would qualify. Case, JD for sure, Wheel Horse, Cub even the old Craftsman were great. I think they required less maintinence and when you needed to work on them you could get the parts and they were made in the USA. Just look at how many are still in service.

I will go with craftsmen ten years or older or gravely
J D GX 255 Used mine for 7 years and still runs fine, original battery. Only complaint is the mower skips a strip on radius corners. 20 H P never suffers from heaviest grass. 500 hours on it now.
