I can't help you with the name of it but I want some. Reason being it is green rather than straw color and doesn't appear to have any burrs ( stickers ) on it.
Not nutsedge, at least it doesn't look like ours. Could be goosegrass, but can't really say without seeing some individual samples. Pull some and take pictures.
To me it looks like crab grass not nutsedge because nutsedge is lime green and very distinctive if you have nutsedge I found out that Q4 in lawn works great don't pull it out because if you do you have to get 100% of root out or it will come back up north we are having a big problem with it
Whoa not crab grass excuse me!! Looks to be a strand called St. Augustine grass what's the soils look like around you? Good top soils or more of a sandy soil?
In Ohio we call that a weed lol here's my lawn
Can't really tell the grass type but you can notice that strand you have isnt there lol I hope I could help out a little bit

Kinda looks like fescue
I have bermuda it is a weed some call it nice grass. I like it. It makes the best hay But the worse weed if your a farmer.
A weed is any plant that is any where you do not want it.
