I have a 317 john deere I restored . it runs vary well , new paint , tractor cleets , nice seat , new coil , mowes like a champ . nice looking an running tractor . just whated to know what market value it has ? I have not seen vary many of these models out their . all hidro. has a 50inch deck . seen prices go from $ 1300.00 to $ 1850.00 on 318 s I figure 317 should be in the same price range .

what year was it made?

John Deere 317 made 1979 to 1983 with either a Onan or Kohler L heads. So that makes the tractor over 32 + years old. I would think a John Deere collector would interested in something like that. I would think you would have better luck with E-Bay with a lot of pictures. Nothing wrong with putting it on this forum also but also you should include pictures, it helps the sell. 1,300 to 1,850 dollars is a lot to ask for with a tractor that old unless someone is looking for that model and year or someone doesn't know what they are buying.
