What gap do I set the intake and exhaust valves to?

Do I just set the gap when the piston is TDC?

Intake .004. Exhaust.008. I recommend setting them 1/4” past TDC.

There are TWO TDC's--One is when the exhaust valve has just closed and the intake valve is just opening. You do not want to set the valves using THAT TDC.
