Parked up my 2008 T1800 back end of last year, came to try and start, and the machine is dead. The battery is good as it has been on a maintainer, and I also swapped the battery off an older T1800 that easily spun over that mower when I tried it.
What happens, I turn on the ignition, the dash display momentarily displays some letters, I hear a relay click at the same time in the back of the pcb, then goes blank. Pressing the start button has no effect.
What I have tried with no effect
Bypass ignition switch
Bypass the seat and handbrake kill switches
checked fuses
cleaned connections to the pcb and checked for lose connectors etc
shorted solenoid - engine spins freely
I have run out of ideas. Is it possibly a faulty pcb - they are pricey, so dont want to buy one and find it is something else - been there, done that with a shogun lighting pcb - turned out to be faulty tow hitch wiring. Could it be a faulty solenoid not supplying power back to the dashboard?
