Before I converted that thing, I'd make sure it had no combustible parts. Which means you should probably take it to the recycling center and get as much as you can for it.
I would say toss it. I can't imagine it being any good if you had a fire in the motor, it was the motor that caught fire right? It would need to be replaced or rebuilt.
