Hello Lawn Mower Forum. - Is there any chance of some help and/or advice please ? I have owned a Scag ride-on mower for 22 years and about 10 years ago the Warner Electric electro-magnetic clutch failed. I replaced it with an identical clutch. The original had the identification details as can be seen in the attached image i.e. CMSS-175 5218-3 and the replacement, which has also just failed, has similar data on the casing.
I suspect that the original clutch is no longer available and so I have messaged Warner Electric twice asking them if there is a modern-day equivalent but to no avail. They haven't answered my email or message. I have also emailed 4 concerns in the U.K. who are Warner distributors and only one has responded. I can see what look like almost identical clutches available from various sources - Amazon, eBay, etc but none have the identical numbers.
My question is : Would anyone be able to help me with finding an identical clutch to my original even if it might have different numbers on the casing ?
Thanks in advance for those who are able to help me.
