I have a mower with a xt-7 engine that want crank. I have new plug in it and have tried to put gas in the plug port but it will start and quit as soon as the gas in it runs out. it appears it is not getting gas. Do you have any suggestions?

run through the fuel system starting at your fuel tank and find where the fuel stops,screens, filters pumps ,on some engines etc. You will find where it stops.If it is good to the carb it could be the filter inside the carb or the carb itself

also make sure the gas petcock is open and there is gas in the mower ,seen it way too many times

check for a stuck needle valve in the carburetor
