Walbro LMT Carbs Wear Out Quickly?

Hi,
Went to a Mom and Pop, Lawn Mower Shop looking for parts and came across a deal on an I/C 12HP Engine.

It already had a no name Chinese Carb on it.

Asked about any extra Walbro LMT Carbs and the Owner said he had a bucket full of bad ones?

Not good ones that just needed cleaning and a kit but ones he could not get running no matter what?

Were these Carbs known not to last???
 
Never had a problem except those that sat with water in them. Some people just don't understand how to clean properly just I see a lot complaints about the Nikki carbs which I also never problems with cleaning and rebuild.

Thanks, you Gentlemen, are probably on to something there.

The Chinese Clone I have is a Walbro LMT Clone instead of the Nikki, there is that I guess...

We will see!
