Voltage Regulator Rectifier Wiring

So this summer I was having sensor problems on my zero turn so I just re-wired it straight with new wires bypassing everything. It's been running great but I have to keep charging it.

I see online if I wire the B+ terminal on the voltage regulator to "R" on the key switch it'll charge it. My key switch doesn't have "R" can anyone help me with this? Unless I am totally wrong just let me know.

Wire it straight to the hot side of the solenoid.Should be much easier to do.

Including a 20 amp fuse wouldn't be a bad idea.
