I have a B&S Vanguard 7.5 model number 138432-0035-E1 on an aerator and it dies after running under load for a shot time (1-2 minutes). We have bypassed the oil guard module and now runs without stalling under load, but can’t find a wiring diagram to see if that is the issue or if there is another part in the system that could be problematic. Unfortunately the module is over $130.00. Any insight or recommendations are warmly welcomed.
No, the oil guard is the problem
If it will idle all day without problem.
Try adding 250 ml more oil.
If the oil level is a little low , when the engine starts running full speed the slinger tosses oil everywhere so the level in the sump drops a little, just enough to trip the switch
Thanks! Yes it starts very easily and idles fine. When it is run under load it dies and if it is hot it may not restart for a while. Will put it together and report back.
