Engine valve setting

Anybody know the valve clearance on a Kawasaki 23hp FH680V ? Is it done with engine hot or cold? Thank you, gregjo1948

Valve clearance are Inlet/exhaust 0.10-0.15mm (0.004-0.006in) cold, and should be check every 300 hours.

Thanks EngineMan! I downloaded a service manual and found instructions and the same specs you said. I had read in my owner's manual that they should be checked at 300 hrs.. I have about 315 hrs. accumulated now. After pulling the valve covers, and turning the engine to tdc, I didn't even have to put a gauge on the valves to realize that they were very loose. They were between .012-.015. Being that loose, I guess I didn't need to worry about burning a valve.:laughing: I removed the carb and thoroughly inspected and cleaned. I now need to find a good place to purchase a gasket set for it. Any recommendations? Thanks, gregjo1948
