Valve seal replacement?

Replacing the valve seal on the exhaust side of my 7000 series 20hp engine. Looking for advice on the best way to install, should I oil it up first I've heard some people say the use Locktite when installing?

All seals need lubrication at installation.
No LocTite or other type of sealant should be required.
Follow the instructions in the workshop manual, not internet rumors.
