If it is an alloy barrel you are better off having inserts put into the old guides
If you do push then out then you will need to make some oversized ones to go in or they will not hold in the block
Most motorcycle shops have a small engine guide tool
Make sure the block is strait out of the oven @ 200C
If it is cast iron then you really should use Iron guides
Can not remember how may idiot motorcycle mechanics poo pooed this advice, fitted nice Kibblewhie bronze guides then had the valve seize first day on the road

You can always create you own puller. using a fine thread bolt, thick piece of flat iron and a nut. But you need a driving rod to get the new bushing in and a reamer to ream the bushing to specs.

whatever you do, the guide puller needs to have a square shoulder, no rounding in it because if it swells the guide it will be near to impossible to get out, and it may even damage the block. The question is what will you gain. I have a couple 25 year old engines on various things that the guides are totally fubar but the engines still run fine.
