Whats the chances of having a Useful Information forum? We post thing like links to shop/owners/part manuals, wiring diagrams, hard to find/obsolete parts, etc? These type of posts would have there own forum instead of getting lost in the forums and would be easier for members to find. What your thoughts?

Good idea! There is the option now to make "sticky notes", which are threads that stay at the top of the individual forum, but if you get too many that defeats the purpose of them, so you have a good idea!

The thing is how would you decide what's useful and whats not? I could tell you how to set something up but it's doubtful they would do it.

Things like manuals, wiring diagrams, hard to find/obsolete parts, how to diagnostic info, etc. Be nice if the members had go to forum that had this type of info. Could even close/lock all the started threads so no one can post to it.

Examples:

How to check starter solonoid with ohm meter?
How to adjust valves on a Briggs vtwin?
Sears to Tecumseh engine model cross reference
Honda GCV160 service manual link, free download
Stihl 011 parts manual, free download

The thing they could do is create a portal, name it and add it to the Navigation bar at the top of the page where forums, todays post and all that are so when you click on it like you would to look at it the same as today's post as an example, you would go to a secondary page with all your different forums you want to have listed.

But can the posts in that portal be found by searching for it with search engine? Can it be viewed by guests that would possibly become new members if they saw it?

And any forum would be useless if everybody used google and found what they are looking for.

If our info is good here, and I know we have alot of good members with great info google will bring them right back here to our forum. But if you where stick this type of thread, and lock it you could then go back to add info as you get it. It would be for viewing only, and you can un-lock, and add info whenever you need to. I know what you mean about obsolete parts. If you have ever tried to find parts for a 90s model Bunton ztr.
